Plaza Lecea Wedding Recap

Plaza Lecea was the scene of one of our favorite events ever!    Our bride, Stephanie,  had amazing taste and her colorful personality really shone at her wedding and reception.

The church pews were decorated with our bishop hooks adorned with pink hydrangea, orange coxcomb, hot pink spray roses, pink stock, orange tulips, pompon dahlia and fresh wispy greenery.  Stephanie  chose to have us transport the arrangements to the site of the reception  where we used them to flank the entrance.  What a great way to a carry her décor throughout the entire event and save money as well.

At the reception, the sign in guest table was covered in our black pin tuck linen, adorned with a large centerpiece of curly willow with bright colored ranunculus. Tables were adorned in our black damask linens and napkins with black self-tie chaircovers.  Against the dramatic black backdrop, the colorful and elegant centerpieces really popped!

The guest table centerpieces were composed of our large tall cylinder vase filled with water crystals.  A top vase was filled with an arrangement of pink hydrangea, orange coxcomb, orange protea, hot pink spray roses, pink stock, orange tulips, large hot pink fluffy mums, and pompon dahlia adorned with touch of fresh greenery.   Alternating tables were decorated with a trio of 7×7 inch square vases containing hydrangea, orange cox comb, and orange chrysanthemum.

Going to Any Length… Literally!

It was truly an “event to remember” when we headed to Hillsdale, Michigan in November 2007 to cater a family wedding.  The event wowed the rural Michigan community, more accustomed to seeing Amish Buggies drive past than enjoying the abilities of a full service caterer.

Our team loaded up a 16 foot trailer with cooking equipment, lighting /sound systems, décor items, and coolers full of food, then traveled 1375 miles to our destination.

Ruben created a fabulous menu of fresh gulf shrimp, barbecue Chicken Diablo, honey glazed ham, fresh garden picked green beans, roasted new potatoes, and fresh baked rolls.

A blank room for the reception, became a tropical/natural paradise in a single day.  Fresh floral items came straight to the site from a grower in Ecuador.  We designed the space and all centerpieces and bouquets right out of our trailer.  Unique touches to honor the bride and groom made for one of a kind tables.  Deer antlers and fresh live fish were part of the table décor. This was a day that family really came together to help make the day a beautiful success.

Three and 1/2 years later, we still get comments and words of praise for the outstanding job.
