A tent, in and of itself, isn’t exactly a glamorous picture. The initial word may bring to mind images of a circus or camping in the woods. Fortunately, talented designers and vendors can transform any tent into a glamorous affair. Case in point, the photos below are beautiful, but you haven’t seen the interiors yet:

The large big tops are great options for an outdoor spring of fall South Central Texas wedding. So how can you take the spacious tent and transform it into a reception of your dreams? Glad you asked!

The Event Center at Plaza Lecea continues to be one of our favorite venues in San Antonio. Stephanie, the event manager, is extremely diligent and has an eye for reception style! One of our favorite aspects of the venue is its ability to host wedding ceremonies on the 4th floor or in their spacious, two-story lobby. So many great options for brides!
We recently provided linens and catering for a combination ceremony and reception at Plaza Lecea. Thanks to Stephanie for passing these photos on to us.

One of the sweetest trends we’ve been seeing is a new spin on the “Mr. and Mrs.” chairs. In San Antonio, brides often opt for the “sweetheart table” – a table at the head of the room for the newlyweds. However, we absolutely love the “Mr. and Mrs.” chair decor that can take a wide variety of forms to signify the reserved seats for the host and hostess.
Check out some recent weddings from across the country – perhaps you can incorporate this idea into your upcoming wedding! Give us a call, we’re here to help plan your reception – 210/340-1770.

Last weekend we provided full service catering for a gorgeous wedding at the AT&T Community Centre at San Fernando Cathedral. This spacious, modern event space is perfect for weddings of varied sizes – including this lively 300 person wedding celebration.
The bride selected black and ivory linens, accented with single red roses in small cylinder glass vases with floating votive candles. Gold chargers added a touch of elegance.
Our catering staff included bartenders and a margarita machine. Following cocktails, the menu included:
Grilled marinated beef and chicken fajitas
served with warmed corn and flour tortillas
Choice of pico de gallo, sour cream, frilled sweet peppers and onions
cheddar and monterrey cheeses, salsa verde and picante salsa
Served alongside beans a la charra and mexican style rice
Freshly brewed iced tea and premium coffee
